Excuses…back and forth…to and fro…up and down it goes. Is this actually the foundation of our existence? It first sounds as if I am overdoing it just a tad. Consider for yourself what an excuse is and how often each of us use it. The figure that we will eventually add together is mind-blowing. Let us reflect on areas of our existence that correlates with awakening (enlightenment) for the sake of this discussion.
Humankind tends always to look “out there” for practically everything. We hit our thumb with a hammer. What is the first response that flashes through our mind? “&#%!, dumb hammer…why did “it” hit my finger?” We are shopping and it suddenly starts to rain. “&#%!, why does “it” have to rain now? I am shopping.” A car speeds by during our unplanned walk in the rain. Water from a puddle splashes over us. “&#%!, why did “it” have to splash me. We all have experienced this in one way or another.
This may not appear to be an excuse; but it may very well be just that? What is the “it” that seems to always be a part of a problem? The “it” appears to be any and everything that suffices as an excuse. Blaming anything and anyone other than our self then falls under the category of an excuse. This is actually two fold. Here is the definition of “excuse” as we know it.
Excuse: 1. Noun: A reason or explanation put forward to defend or justify a fault or offense.
2. Verb: Attempt to lessen the blame attaching to (a fault or offense); seek to defend or justify.
Is there actually someone or something to blame in any given moment? This is a question that is susceptible to scrutiny and eventually debate. Still to be aware of and to first accept any situation or person suggests there can be no blame. There can definitely be no excuses.
The key to awakening spiritually consists of looking inward. This does not me that what we now or eventually will find “inside” us is to blame for everything; it is exactly the opposite. A release of the need for blame or fear dissipates once a life-form has re-anchored it’s form existence in sync (attuned) with the frequency of life consciousness. An excuse defined as blame will then hold no real meaning in our daily activities.
Best wishes to everyone
