Life! Now Is the Time to Be You

Unawareness usually hides the beauty of life from us. Typically, we assume to be conscious throughout most of our activities. At least, this is what the mind tells us with countless thoughts and emotions. Thus, the mind uses a type of deception to convince us that we are conscious of living. This is not the actual truth. Our consciousness is a mind-made consciousness. And, this false sense of being restricts us. This is not the true consciousness of being alive.

Consciousness is awareness in a state of presence without attachment. Each person’s length and level of awareness varies. Still, the majority of people never really experience unconditional aware presence. And yet, these same individuals stand in the doorway of consciousness. But, they don’t acknowledge the significance of consciously living. Thus, most people cannot identify with the dimension of conscious beingness. Still, we often experience moments of aware presence.  Furthermore, instinctively we feel that an inner release (peaceful presence) is within our grasp. Then the world comes crashing down on us. Just as we were on the verge of letting go and jumping into the bliss of unconditionally living. Nevertheless, it is possible to realize the true essence of your beingness within aware presence. Existentialism Within the Flow of Life

Existentialism is a word that expresses something we can commonly call, how we live here and now. Furthermore, we live best when we fully live within the moment. Thus, we are responsible for how we live through the act of conscious or unconscious beingness.

existentialism

Philosophers throughout our history share a mutual understanding that we co-create the manifestation of life. Furthermore, our participation in life is either active or passive (conscious or unconscious). This basically suggests that being aware of, and actively participating within, this moment results in life becoming authentic. Wikipedia shares the following information about two of these philosophers. I paraphrase the excepts.

Søren Kierkegaard (1813 – 1855) was a Danish philosopher. He is regarded as the first existentialist philosopher, though he did not use the term existentialism. He proposed that each individual—not society or religion—is solely responsible for giving meaning to life and living it passionately and sincerely, or ‘authentically’.

Jean-Paul Charles Aymard Sartre (1905 – 1980) was a French philosopher. He wrote. At first man is nothing. Only afterward will he be something, and he himself will have made what he will be.

Is Your Experience of Life Dull or Bright?

Thoughts and emotions place filters over aware presence making life seem so dull. Thus, this mind domination obscures conscious awareness. A person looks at the sky, a tree or a bird.  But, usually, what a person sees is a mind filter interpretation. Thus, a reaction or behavior within a person causes this type of stimulus to deceive and confuse. Therefore, this type of mind behavior prevents a person from realizing the true essence and actuality of any given experience.

dull

On the other hand, realizing your true potential as a conscious being is a useful stepping stone to enlightenment. Words, such as enlightenment and insignificant details mesmerize the mind. Hence, the mind attaches itself and your sense of being to everything you experience. But, please don’t let the mind dominate your sense of presence with insignificant details. Otherwise, these details overshadow the act of aware beingness.  This insight and our topic discussions, to illustrate, refer to conscious illumination and mind dependency liberation. You are the manifestation of one-self (presence) as an isness that has the potential to be universal through non-attachment. And, more obvious, you are the non-self (Buddhism: Anattā) of being, equally, through non-attachment. Continue reading

Living life is more than a bubble.

A Bubble Floats in the Air Without Worry

Let’s start this article with a question to take you down memory lane. Do you remember playing with a soap bubble making toy? It is a joy to watch a cascade of glittering transparent spheres floating in the air. People, young and old alike, delight in watching bubbles glide through the air. So, this experience seems almost magical. Soap, Thus, soap bubbles are within Sumerian writings from 3000 to 5000 years ago. The Sumerian civilization used a crude soap to wash wool. This suggests that people, very early in our history, surely knew the pleasure of watching bubbles soar in the wind.

bubble

A glimmering bubble gently twirling in the air stirs something from deep within us. This is true for our generation as well as for people living thousands of years before us. We can verify this through writings and paintings throughout our history. As often shown, bubbles attract us to a place beyond the world around us. We wish to jump within the sphere and sail away on a breeze. Our wish is to travel through the gliding orb to a place of innocence and peace. But, why? The glittering sphere merely represents an escape to another place. And, our attitude about many experiences in life is the wish to be anywhere but here.

But, and hopefully, more and more people will eventually become actively conscious. Aware presence allows us to accept, without unnecessary attachment. Thus, we know that everything is as it should be because it is, in this moment. Then a spacious freedom unfolds within any experience. This serenity engulfs us even when we cannot understand something or think that it is so terrible or wrong.

Day after day details of our existence distract us from the aware presence of our being.

Details and More Details of Our Existence

It is true that any individual cannot truly change the behavior of another person or the details of a situation. However, it is possible for each person to change his or her perspective in each moment. It is very difficult for the mind to accept any given moment at face value. Nevertheless, conscious enlightenment shines through when a person acknowledges the simply act of being in this moment. Your state of being is as it is and not as the mind tells us.

Life is more than the details of our existence.

The mind tells us stories and details constructed from memory, interpretation and expectation. But, usually nothing is as the mind tells us. Thus, the mind establishes a storybook of our existence. And, the pages of this book compile daily through unawareness to this mind behavior. A person that unconsciously lives carries a heavy burden. We carry personal and collective demands, expectancy and countless insignificant existence specifics that are completely insignificant. But, actually being and accepting our existence within the flow of life is different than what the mind tells us. Do you often feel fatigue, frustration and anxiety? This dooming darkness of calamity results from not consciously observing our relationship and partnership with the mind.  Thus, personal and collective baggage fills the minds colossal storybook. Observation of Mind and Body

Observation of your level of awareness to any experience allows conscious awakening and expansion. There are many temporary superficialities that overwhelm and even restrict conscious awareness. Again, and again, something happens to us. And, we react to everything based on mind interjection. Let’s use respect for ourselves and others as an example. Society teaches us to respect ourselves and people, regardless of the behavior. Nevertheless, I suggest for you not to focus on respecting yourself and other people. I realize that this seems harsh. And, is contrary to everything the mind tells you. Nonetheless, please, give me a moment to expand on this suggestion. Let’s face the facts. We do not always respect ourselves and others. Consequently, the demands placed on us by such taught and conditioned behavior give us anxiety and frustration. This is because we usually unconsciously interact with only the superficialities of living.

observation

Therefore, we center our unconscious focus on a thought, feeling, situation or person. Thus, we only experience the temporary interactions. But, isn’t there something beyond and deeper than what the mind tells you about something? Yes, that’s right. You feel something very serene in the background of any given experience. Nevertheless, you disregard this blissful calmness because you think it is unreachable. Or, is it? Continue reading

intelligence

Intelligence Within the Act of Being

Life: What is it? And, where do we find love? These are questions that we always ask. But, our object illusions are primarily responsible for integrating falsehood into our existence. The delusions we have placed on our existence engulf all factors of our experiences. It is not your purpose to define life or love. Instead, simply experience your beingness through awareness to consciousness.  In other words, wake up! There is an intelligence within you that innately knows the truth of your being without needing to search.

intelligence

What is this intelligence? Firstly, I ask that you don’t put energy and effort into labeling what I have written. Secondly, this mysterious something within and surrounding you is not supernatural and not a god. Therefore, simply observe the depth of the inner universe as a space that resonates with common sense. However, please do not minimize the depth and magnitude of this inner dimension. And, we should not define the act of this observation from a standpoint of our worldly activities. The common sense within you is of universal proportion and brilliance. And, your true essence flows from a pool of unconditional beingness that is indifferent to mind details and interactions. Continue reading

Pieces of Life Fall into Place

We compare life to a puzzle. Accordingly, the mind portraits an image of how life should be for us. And, most people accept the minds image.  Therefore, you are the puzzle player. The game you play is life. How do you play this game? Are you an active conscious player? Or, does the mind dictate how you play? Admittedly, it seems easier to just go along with the mind and let it dominate life. However, a person that lives life according to the mind’s rules uses thoughts and emotions as puzzle pieces.

pieces

On the other hand, a conscious awakened person focuses primarily on one piece of puzzle. The act of aware presence liberates this one piece (moment) from all attachments, whether of mind or body. The one piece of puzzle you hold in this moment is the ongoing determining influence for how you live life. Universal energy flows in response to your observation of being here and now. Therefore, your state of beingness is always the center of the universe in terms of how, where and even why there is a puzzle.  Conscious presence reveals that this one piece, this one moment is the totality of your life experience. Thus, a state of aware beingness is the experience of oneness. And, the act of being is infinite with many possibilities. Continue reading

The Dreams of a Woman

A recent conversation inspired me to write the following poem. It was heartwarming for me to hear the woman speak of her experiences in nature. She discovered the significance of our life experience as a young child. Thus, she lives with a willingness to just be in this moment. Nature is a gateway. And, she returns home, again and again, to her essence through the spaciousness beyond. Thus, she openly lives and she loves without a reason for either. She dreams the dream of life each moment as it carries her along.

Think About Thoughts! Why should I?

I don’t want to think about it. You are probably familiar with this statement. However, saying or thinking these words will not stop the mind from thinking. Thoughts constantly bombard any given moment. Thus, thoughts pull an unaware person into a thinking process loop. And, the brain continues to think, regardless of what you do or want. Therefore, let’s use the sentence at the beginning of this paragraph as a gateway to conscious awakening.

think

Thoughts come and go. Consequently, you must not attach yourself to any thought or emotion. Consciously observe your relationship with the mind and thought repetitions. Otherwise, you will think that you are a thought. Awaken to the presence of being. Thus, you remain in a place that is beyond thoughts. Beingness becomes the focus of your observation. The portal to active conscious awareness opens more easily for you when thoughts become insignificant. Instead, you bask in a light of enlightenment that results from your non-attachment to the details of living. Mind conditioning and repetitious behavior patterns fade away as the conscious observer awakens more often in daily situations. Continue reading
