Excuses are used each day…back and forth…to and fro…up and down it goes. Is this actually the foundation of our existence? It first sounds as if I am overdoing it just a tad. However consider for yourself what an excuse is and how often we use them. The number that you will eventually add together is mind-blowing. Let us correspondingly reflect on our existence and how it correlates with conscious awakening (enlightenment) for the sake of this discussion.
Humankind tends to always look outward for practically everything. This is true whether we are searching for someone to blame or to find excuses. We hit our thumb with a hammer. What is the first reaction that flashes through our mind? “&#%! Dumb hammer, it hit my finger?” We are shopping and it suddenly starts to rain. &#%! Why must it rain now? You are shopping. A car speeds by as you are walking to the store. The rain and water from a puddle splashes you. &#%! Why did it have to splash me? We all have experienced this behavior in one situation or another.
These may not appear to be excuses; but it is obvious that we are conditioned not to accept the present moment. What is the “it” that seems to always be a part of a problem and likewise difficult for us to accept? The “it” appears to be any and everything that suffices as an excuse. Blaming anything and anyone other than simply accepting what is then falls under the category of an excuse. Furthermore this is actually two fold. Here is the definition of an “excuse” as we know it.
1. Noun: A reason or explanation put forward to defend or justify a fault or offense.
2. Verb: Attempt to lessen the blame attaching to (a fault or offense); seek to defend or justify.
Is there actually someone or something to blame in any given moment? This is a question that is susceptible to scrutiny and eventually debate. Still to be aware of and to first accept any situation or encounter with a person suggests there can be no blame. There can definitely be no excuses.
The key to awakening consciously consists of looking inward. This does not mean that what we now or eventually will find “inside” us is to blame for everything; it is exactly the opposite. A release of the need for blame or fear dissipates once a life-form has re-anchored its form existence in sync (attuned) with the frequency of life consciousness. An excuse defined as blame will then hold no real meaning in our daily activities.
Best wishes to everyone
