Searching for Purpose

We are constantly searching for a purpose. The mind thinks that there is a reason for everything. These thoughts have become conditioned reactions. The collective belief is that there can be nothing without a reason. Furthermore, we sadly occupy each moment with the demanding need to have a function. We base the structures of our entire existence and the universe on this very assumption. This necessitated the establishment of mathematics, science and religion. However, the minds attempts to explain the unexplainable have proven faulty.

searching

We become entrapped in the confines of these limitations. Therefore, this behavior pattern remains active in the background of our experiences. Nevertheless, it is reasonable to conclude that we have practical “purposes” in our daily activities. There are numerous experiences that fit into this category. However, there is also the search for a grand purpose. Most people would say there is a grand purpose in my life. There is no grand reason for life. Therefore, to assume that our existence is based on grandeur is purely subjective. Continue reading

presence

Presence Is a Good Signpost

The constant desire to be in the moment can backfire. Furthermore, we unknowingly become preoccupied with the thoughts of living in presence. We allow the mind and thought patterns to basically exploit object consciousness. We no longer acknowledge the gateway between object and universal consciousness.

presence

Therefore, presence is vital on the path to enlightenment. The reason for practicing living in the now is obvious. Eckhart Tolle and other sages suggest Being aware of awareness. This, in itself, is beneficial insight. Furthermore, existing is the natural state of any and every form in the universe. Object consciousness, at a given evolutionary level, initiates self-consciousness. We become conscious of our being, the immediate surroundings and the universe. Continue reading

Song of Rain and Sun

The song of life is playing. Do you hear it? It had started to rain during a hot day where I live. It was a beautiful spring shower. I could hear the rain drops falling onto the trees. It was mesmerizing to hear the gentle song of life as the rain fell upon the leaves. However, I realized that I was not actually hearing the rain or wind. Furthermore, the experience was intensified through active awareness to the present moment.

song

What I sensed was the energy vibrations as the rain fell. It felt as if I was moving in response to the tree limb movements as each swayed to and fro in the wind. I smiled as I considered what my friend would say if he would see me in that moment. What would my friend answer if I would ask him if he likes the rain? This caused me to smile even more because I know that he would complain about the rain and say that the sun should shine. Moreover, it would be impossible to suggest that life was singing to him in that moment. The song of life usually remains unnoticed by most people. Continue reading

temporary

Temporary Static: Here Today Gone Tomorrow

You are a temporary object manifesting energy in this moment. Therefore, you are alive. This, in itself, is wonderful. However, is it significant? We can consider this relatively and absolutely. The former is no and the latter is yes. Nevertheless, acknowledging and accepting this temporal state can provide a stepping stone to infinity.

temporary

Yet, we can only truly realize immortality by going beyond object generated static. Nonetheless, our daily situations often seem very ominous; even devastating. This is because of the personal and collective mind conditioning accumulated over hundreds of thousands of years (clock time). Now is forever. The current situation is temporary. How do we realize the temporary insignificance of any given situation? Firstly, deeply understand that the form is always different. This is true, regardless how the mind interprets something. Static is Static. It interferes with our awareness of the unity shared by all things. Continue reading

wisdom

Wisdom of Life is Felt through Being

I hope that you are well and enjoying a wonderful day. The wisdom beyond Eckhart Tolle’s insight is profound because being (existence) is the manifestation of life. Therefore, to truly live means that we should feel it. It pulsates through everything.

Being must be felt. It can’t be thought.
– Eckhart Tolle

You cannot use conventional concepts, whether spoken or written, to express the simple act of being.  These can, at best, serve as pointers or sign posts. However, our focus should be on what is beyond these stepping stones and pathways. Furthermore, beyond the mind is the universal intelligence that offers wisdom that is an innate part of our being.

I wish to share a few plans, wishes and hopes with you. I am rebuilding my website step by step and have decided that patience and non-attachment are wise for me to use in its construction; relating to design layout, pages and material to share. Additionally, my wish is to offer an oasis that will provide articles, videos, quotes and links relating to spirituality, philosophy, psychology and personal growth. Continue reading

wanting

Wanting and Demanding

Have you ever considered the excessive behavior associated with wanting and demanding? We are insatiable. Our detailed existence offers us so much content; yet most people seem so discontent. This statement may cause frustration or even anxiety in you. This is because the mind will offer thoughts that insist that you are happy. It will deny wanting anything. The internet dictionary defines discontent as “A restless longing for better circumstances.”

wanting

Resentment is a synonym of discontent . It is defined as “bitter indignation at having been treated unfairly.” Why do we always demand something new or different? Is it because we think people, situations and even life are treating us unfairly or cruelly? Furthermore, there is also an unquenchable need to search for something, anything that might satisfy the unhappiness that seems to thrive on our discontentment like a parasite.

I have included a poem below that was in the original manuscript of my first book (One Moment in Life). The published book has two poems; one at the beginning and one at the end. Continue reading

A Day Filled with Miracles: Part One

Miracles are all around us. There for us to experience and share. Do you wish to experience them? The key is to change our conditioned field of perspective. Furthermore, this is strictly a self-created mind dimension. It has resulted in manipulating and restricting our awareness to the miracles which life offers us in abundance. We have lost focus; thus, we remain confused. A miracle will reveal itself to us freely; when a person is willing to adjust his or her field of perception.

miracles

This adjustment is crucial to the development of object consciousness. This would allow the gifts of life (miracles) to manifest in our dimension of existence. The miracles are always there for us; such as life is always there. It is significant to understand that life is revealing itself through every object (human or otherwise). However, each life-form is influencing this manifestation. Therefore, you are co-creating what you experience.

“Do you want to experience miracles? Then be the miracle that you want to experience.”

A Day Filled with Miracles: Part Two

Do Miracles happen every day? Moreover, what is a miracle? We automatically associate a miracle with religion, a deity or some other supernatural power. Google Search offers this definition.

“Miracle: A surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency.”

miracles

We have convinced ourselves; through lack of explainable definitions, that a miracle originates from a good greater than ours. What if it is nothing more than life manifesting itself through a given object? Furthermore, what if a proclaimed miracle has neither motive nor a purpose? What if it is just a result of life flowing naturally? Here again human beings have superimposed a form definition unto an occurrence that is perhaps nothing more than the flow of energy. lonely

I Am so Lonely

How many times have you or someone you know said this sentence? I am so lonely or I don’t want to be alone. There is a world of people who are together, but unfortunately separated and alone. What is loneliness? Is it possible to be lonely or is it only a state of mind? The mind is constantly confronting us with conditioned factors that can restrict us from living consciously.

lonely

Furthermore, it is a baffling topic to discuss. There are many forlorn people who have become deeply depressed, even suicidal. How can thoughts push us to the brink of despair? Is loneliness real or a phantom of the mind? Does this result due to a lack of awareness? Or would this make the discussion too easy? Loneliness can develop into mental disorders. However, it can solely result from misconceptions of the mind. Continue reading

end

The End Justifies the Means

The end justifies the means. Most people are familiar with this quote. It originated in chapter XVIII of The Prince by Niccolo` Machiavelli. However, the original text read “Si Guarda al fine”. Pay attention to the result would be a fairly accurate translation. Nonetheless, this excerpt does not really have any correlation with the popular quote.

end

However, this quote does have insight that is helpful in our conscious awakening process. Therefore, let’s say “All experiences lead to this moment; or do they?” Several months ago I had noticed a subtle interference in my state of active awareness to the present moment. Here I must smile slightly at this terminology. It is much easier to say that I had been distracted. I reflectively considered the core of this interference. It was possible for me to determine that this had originated due to a phase of dissatisfaction. I had been pondering over past situations in areas of education, career and love. What started this phase of self- destructive contemplation? Continue reading
