The title describes a typical interaction with the mind. It also indicates the possibility for change by asking the simple question “how do I wish to live”. The mind can be compared to a computer program that is used to compress data. The difference, however, is that the mind will overload us with too much data when we are not consciously aware. We could also call this living consciously and free from mind interference.
Otherwise the mind will attempt to compress more and more thoughts into your conscious state of being (presence). This compression can be an advantage for the storage and transfer of data on a computer. However, it can be very burdening for a life-form with a deeper level of consciousness. Why? Simply because consciousness suggests that an object has the potential to be self-aware. Self-consciousness, in turn, causes us to ask why.
This can result in a struggle between mind and consciousness because the mind’s energy output is conditioned to dominate the present moment. The mind will compress more and more thoughts into each experience. This will continue until a person has reached a deeper degree of presence.
Compress, Relax and Live
The sole reason for this is because we allow it to happen due to inactive participation with the unfolding of this moment. Furthermore, it is not unusual for a person to think or believe that the content of any experience dictates what will happen. This is mostly an illusion. Therefore, the mind will continue to compress and interject more thoughts which act as a veil of deception.
Henceforth a person often remains in a vicious cycle. The mind will compress and thus overwhelm you with thoughts. Moreover however, you innate know that there is a dimension of vibrating energy that offers space and clarity in each moment. Self-consciousness, and awareness to it, can open the portal to universal consciousness. It is blissful to realize that shifting from mind to a conscious state of being can free you of the minds activities.
This freedom does not necessarily mean that you will not experience thoughts. It does however, allow you to accept these thoughts and to move beyond them. They become the background of your experiences and sometimes actually have a practical purpose. Whereas your awareness to the space found within presence will be in the foreground. The details of our existence ultimately have nothing to do with the simple act of presence. It is possible to relax within this unmanifested state of being as you acknowledge your true potential as a conscious being.
