Realize Consciousness and Know the Mind

How do you regard the title of this article? Firstly, please recognize that the words are only and always just words. I often refer to words, symbols, thoughts and emotions as signposts or stepping stones to our inner universe. So, attempt to visualize the title statement as a stepping stone. And, with practice, you acknowledge the insignificance of the words or detail, other than as stepping stones. This is a step-by-step pathway. Thus, our state of presence shifts more and more to conscious awareness with each step. Likewise, every situation or moment offers the potential to realize the endless depth of our inner journey. This is the path of self-discovery beyond mind limitation.

realize

Therefore, to know something is to perceive or understand what you experience now. We can illustrate this in the following insight. Be aware of awareness and know you are aware. Hence, you realize consciousness in its essence. Additionally, conscious realization benefits the relationship between you and the mind. Suddenly you observe the mind work efficiently without any interference to your aware state of being. Consequently, you will experience thoughts and emotions for what they are and nothing more. Henceforth, the spaciousness of conscious presence becomes your permanent home. You will still experience everything. But, conscious living allows clarity, balance and harmony to thrive. Your Thoughts About Life Mean Nothing

We define life through interpretations of our existence and the details surrounding any situation. So, what does this really mean in the tapestry of life? It means nothing. What does our understanding of life and love really mean? You guessed it. It means nothing. Please don’t misinterpret. Yes, life and love seem to mean something from a relative and practical perspective. Nevertheless, be honest with yourself. Your thoughts and feelings about life and love keep you on a roller coaster. Today you are happy about life. But, tomorrow life sucks. You soar high in love this moment. However, an hour later you claim that love stinks and is only for the lucky people.

nothing

Therefore, our interpretations, assumptions and labels mean nothing. All mind structures change according to the wants and demands of a given person or collective group of people. Thus, subsequently, and quite strangely, we determine life and love according to thoughts, emotions and beliefs. Do you see the irony of this behavior? Let me clarify. What you think about life is not truly living life. Likewise, what you feel about love is not the same as simply loving. We don’t experience life as it is this moment. Instead, we experience it as we think it is, or should be, in any given situation. But, we can’t determine the essence of life or love, generally speaking, through the use of any mind conceptions.

Awakening to Life Instead of Denying It

Existence factors add complexity to the simply state of being. At least, this is what we think. Still, we can experience a harmonious state of being through active awareness. The initial conscious awakening or enlightenment is the recognition of this state of being. We can call this being aware of awareness. Eckhart Tolle made this statement an icon.

awakeningAwakening to the dimension of life energy consciousness is the first step to exist in discovering inner peace. Dissatisfaction, worry, fear, and other ailments cause inner disharmony. Hence, the outer universe reflects the inner universe. I cannot emphasize this enough. Get the inner universe in order and the outer universe will become clear. The acknowledgement and expansion of universal consciousness is always possible. But still, difficulties arise because we disregard our true essence. Continue reading

Loneliness Is Only a Word but You Are so Much More

Linda De Vrieze wrote the following article. I have known Linda for several years. We share ideas and insight relating to the process of awakening to consciousness. Linda expresses the core essence of loneliness. Furthermore, it is possible for each and every person to tap into this solitary dimension of one. Linda Shares the following insight.

loneliness

“There is a quote, it says Being alone has a power only a few can handle. I would like to paraphrase and expand on this insight. “Being alone has a power yes, and many are too afraid to connect to themselves and to go deep within. Many confuse being alone with something or someone that is missing. But, the opposite is true. Being alone means connected to ALL that you are, complete and whole. There is no lacking no missing. Being alone is your natural state of being. Continue reading

Is Happiness the Key to Life? Are You Chasing It?

I recently received an email from someone. The topic and questions within this email related to happiness and lack of it in daily experiences. Please deeply reflect on your understanding of happiness before you continue reading. What does this word mean to you? Are you looking for contentment but think it is hard to find? Do you expect to find happiness through a materialistic object or a relationship with someone or something? The very act of searching and expecting will result in unhappiness.

happiness

This type of mindset is toxic. Such behavior restricts object consciousness and ultimately, universal consciousness. This person wrote in the email that it is impossible to change someone. And, the email continue with this statement. However, it is possible to change yourself to make other people happy. Please reread these sentences and consider your own experiences. Are you unknowingly trying to make others happy? Continue reading

Thoughts about Thinking Can Hurt You

You think too much. It seems that you are always thinking. Meanwhile the process of conscious awakening as begun. But you still can’t stop thinking. Friends, books, and spiritual teachers tell you to stop thinking. And still the thoughts rattle around in your head. You try to meditate. Enlightenment is your wish. However, trying to stop thinking only causes you to think more. Oh, the misery! These excessive thoughts are dreadful.

thoughts

What can you do? How do you stop thinking? The first two conscious steps correlate directly to these questions. First step. Practice “doing” less. Thus, you will automatically do more and be more. Second step. Realize deeply that you can’t stop thinking. No one can stop thoughts. They are the result of a thinking process. The brain is a biological organ. Sadhguru once said that trying to stop thinking is like telling you liver or pancreas to stop working (paraphrase). This is something we can’t and don’t wish to stop. Continue reading

Two Were Once One: What Is Beyond Dualism?

This is a discussion about the mind and consciousness. Were they one and the same?  Did something happen after we became self-conscious? Did one become two? This is, at least, what the mind has convinced us is true. Likewise, it is this conditioned believing and thinking that causes dualism. But, the apparent separation is strictly mind-made. Thus, it is ultimately not real, Hence, an illusion.

two

Almost every person will have a different interpretation about this topic. We often use science or religion in an attempt to understanding mind and consciousness. But, your present level of awakened object consciousness is very beneficial.  Let’s consider both from a state of non-attachment to either. Still, many will insist that the one (universal consciousness) cannot be without the other (object consciousness). What is your response to this idea? Please notice that I asked about your response and not your reaction. A mind reaction will not benefit us. Furthermore, this type of duality thinking will actually impair our experience of universal intelligence within the flow of life. Whereas, responding to something is based on synchronicity with consciousness. Continue reading

Science and Religion: But What About Life?

Why do we feel compiled to explain life through concepts such as religion, atheism or science? Personal and collective influences condition us to accept, reject or conform to ideas, guidelines, and beliefs. What do the three conceptual structures have in common? They invoke separation. Moreover, this is true of most existence content. Consequently, this deters the awakening of consciousness.

science

There appears to be generalizations in most conceptual religions. This is the belief in the big G word. (I am reluctant to use the word because of the conditioned effect it as on people.)  Atheism, on the other hand, rejects these beliefs.  Subsequently, science offers us the mind-conceived facts. However, these have really only added more complexity to the simplicity of life. Object consciousness would surely expand easier without these mind projected influences. Continue reading

evolution

Evolution of Consciousness: It Is Blossoming

What is evolution? Everything evolves in some manner. Doesn’t it? Dictionary.com offers several definitions for evolution.

  1. Any process of formation or growth; development
  2. A product of such development; something evolved
  3. A motion incomplete in itself, but combining with coordinated motions to produce a single action, as in a machine.
  4. Biology. Change in the gene pool of a population from generation to generation by such processes as mutation, natural selection, and genetic drift.

These are but a few of the definitions used for evolution. How has consciousness evolved? Likewise, how can it change our experience of life? Could we go so far as to say that universal consciousness is the catalyst for evolution?

evolution

I, as I am sure you, continue to awaken and become more aware of consciousness. Thus, this too must be a form of evolution.  The universe is 99.9 percent nothingness. This is amazing to consider. But, it is even more incredible to simply experience how nothingness manifests into somethingness. There are more and more scientists / physicists who are basically saying that consciousness creates reality. Continue reading

Awaken and Enjoy the Dream

You are on a picnic. It is a lazy summer afternoon. The birds are singing. Crickets are chirping in the tall grass nearby. A breeze carries the fragrance of wild flowers and strawberries. The moment becomes an eternity. There is the soft buzz of a flying grasshopper in flight. Perhaps the joy of flying is something that all beings share. Suddenly, this buzzing becomes louder. The dream scene fades away. Awaken, the alarm clock is ringing.

awaken

The dream had seemed so real. Sadness overcomes you because it has ended. Still, it was beautiful and very tranquil. Likewise, in that moment, you feel totally rested. Therefore, you smile. Not to mention, you sense equilibrium. You sense everything. The interaction with your surroundings is similar to a dream state. How would you describe it? It is to awaken from a dream and realize you are still dreaming. Continue reading
