Transference with a Twist: What Happens to Presence?

Transference suggests the movement, placement or replacement of something. We could simplify this word by calling it change. This process can be of a physical or mental nature. I will be writing and referring to a type of spiritual transference that occurs in human beings.

Please remember that, spiritually speaking, a word such as transference is only a pointer to what is beyond interpretations and definitions. This dimension, which could more accurately be called the totality, is where ripples of energy vibrations mold our existence.

This is the field of transference and we often do ourselves, others and the world more harm then good because of our use of this realm. We are generally oblivious to the energy that we are transferring and therefore it is often misguided. Human beings have been searching for a spiritual bond to life since the beginning of our species history.

It is possible but not certain that our attempts at clarifying the mystery of life have been nurtured by contaminated energy transference. We unconsciously detect the energy being released by other people and make it our own. Additionally this transfer is manipulated and twisted into specific behavior patterns.

Transference Beyond the Mind

These are transferred from generation to generation and have become what we could call our transference blueprint. Change is perhaps the only one true constant. Heraclitus of Ephesus based his doctrines on change being the foundation for everything in the universe. His writings include such references as:

“Much learning does not teach understanding.”

“Allow yourself to think only those thoughts that match your principles and can bear the bright light of day. Day by day, your choices, your thoughts, your actions fashion the person you become. Your integrity determines your destiny.”

The key however is to be aware and help co-create a change based on conscious living. We spend the majority of our existence in a mind-based transference. This energy transfer is passed from person to person in a common state of unconsciousness.

However experiencing change consciously will invoke more consciousness. Therefore thinking is not enough. Furthermore believing will not be sufficient and only presence to what is beyond the mind will initiate a purer recognition of our interaction with life.

Best wishes

P.S. Here is a short article on the how and why relating to transference.
