There is something that I wish to share before I write today’s article. The articles and book(s) that I write are comprised of ideas, experiences and insights. If I was asked the question “What is universal consciousness?” The only true answer that I can give would be “I don’t know.” How is it possible to really know? Universal consciousness is considered and discussed. Perhaps the considerations and discussions have been ongoing since the dawning of human from consciousness; likely even earlier in our evolution.
Universal consciousness is there; isn’t it? We sense “something”; this is something that we have always “felt”. The more we are aware, the more aware we become. It is similar to tuning into a radio station. The transmitter may be sending a very specific signal. The key is in how we are tuned into the transmitter signal. The human mind / consciousness receiver has the capability to tune into many different signals; even simultaneously.
Wikipedia describes a radio receiver as follows: “radio receiver is an electronic device that receives radio waves and converts the information carried by them to a usable form. It is used with an antenna. The antenna intercepts radio waves (electromagnetic waves) and converts them to tiny alternating currents which are applied to the receiver, and the receiver extracts the desired information. The receiver uses electronic filters to separate the desired radio frequency signal from all the other signals picked up by the antenna, an electronic amplifier to increase the power of the signal for further processing, and finally recovers the desired information through demodulation.”
Doesn’t this sound a little familiar? Consider these possibilities. This could be one way of describing the human brain. The second half of the above definition suggests a process that could be compared to the mind and or consciousness. Human beings receive many different waves or vibrations (input). These are picked up by the mind via the mechanics of the body “including naturally the mind”. The mind relies on “thinking” to determine what it will do with the input received. This is a nature biological function. It would typically be said that this is quite “normal”. Consciousness is influenced by brain functions, but is also a self aware entity. What would happen to consciousness (form or universal) without the random output of the mind? Is this even possible? The brain output is generated by a long list of brain activities; memory, emotions and the resulting conditioning are a few.
We should understand that the brains traits and functions are biological. The brain is the result of millions of years of evolution. It may be very beneficial for humankind to consider the next step in this continual process. Consciousness offers us an opportunity to shift from a perception that is exclusively brain mental “thinking” to an aware existence in the field of universal consciousness. Brain activities such as thinking and emotions would continue on. Who is watching the “thinker”? This is the true self. We could say that this is the mind’s (the receiver’s) electronic filter. Your true self can focus on one particular frequency (universal consciousness). Form consciousness could be considered as the mind’s (the receiver’s) electronic amplifier. The shift to universal consciousness will be initiated through this sequence. The intensity of universal consciousness will increase continually as the true self learns to focus primarily on one frequency. The thinker with its random thoughts will still be present; but have no lasting significance within the universal field of conscious being / thinking.
Best wishes to all
